History of Bent’s Camp
Bent’s Camp is one of the oldest resorts in Northern Wisconsin! Located just west of Land O’ Lakes on the Cisco Chain of Lakes, it was established in 1896 by Charles A. Bent and family for sport fishing and hunting. Our exhibit features the history of the Bent family and their building of a splendid resort property that still operates today nearly 130 years later. Special features are numerous photos and stories from the Bent years (over 40 years in the Bent family) plus actual items used at the resort in the early 1900s. Per nephew Arthur J. “Dunny” Bent, Charles loved the north country and did all he could in his lifetime to protect and improve it for others. Our exhibit honors the legacy of the Bent family!
